The Root Australia is a registered platform based in Nowra, New South Wales, dedicated to strengthening ties between Australia and Kerala through a multifaceted approach. The organization operates across three key pillars: Education & Cultural Promotion, Business Solutions, and Social & Healthcare Solutions.
Our Core Activities
1. Education & Cultural Promotion
Education & Cultural Promotion focuses on advancing the Malayalam language and Kerala's rich cultural heritage through educational initiatives, cultural events, and meaningful community collaborations. This mission is carried out through The Root Language & Cultural Study Centre, the educational and cultural arm of The Root Australia. Established in 2023 as a non-profit organization registered with the Australian Government, the Centre is based in Nowra and functions as an affiliate of the Malayalam Mission Kerala. It actively promotes cultural engagement by offering Malayalam language classes for all age groups, hosting arts festivals and cultural performances, and delivering heritage education programs in collaboration with local institutions. The Centre also supports youth through mentorship and scholarship opportunities, empowering the next generation to stay connected to their roots while contributing meaningfully to Australian multicultural society.
2. Business Solutions
Business Solutions is designed to foster bilateral trade, investment, and entrepreneurial collaboration between Australia and Kerala. The Root Australia serves as a connector for businesses, helping facilitate market entry, networking opportunities, and partnerships across industries. By promoting Kerala-based products, services, and business ventures in Australia, the platform encourages economic engagement and cultural exchange, offering tailored consultancy and guidance for emerging and established entrepreneurs alike.
